This module covers the syllabus of the Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) but adds in some conditions that are specific to working with/in sports teams (concussion and spinal injury management)

• First Aid planning and your First Aid kit - how to complete a first aid risk assessment

• Practical assessment of the unconscious or non-breathing casualty

• Practical application of CPR and the treatment of head and spinal injuries

• Practical use of an AED (Defibrillator) and how to seamlessly merge it into your emergency response

• Immediate management of:

  • Seizures

  • Bleeding and shock

  • Fainting
