  • This module builds on the introduction to Strength & Conditioning and Biomechanics of Exercise Modules and uses the information gleaned in the functional movement assessment module to help piece together a bespoke training programme for an individual based on their specific needs.

    • How to structure a session

    • Recap movement analysis and conditioning testing

    • How to structure a resistance training and conditioning programme over a 12 week period

    • Coaching Exercises in a gym based environment

    • Exercise Safety

    • Monitoring Exercise Intensity

    • How to construct and deliver a small group circuit training session

    • Periodisation: Macro, meso and micro cycles

    • Adapting exercises based on injury/availability of exercise equipment opr preference

    • Analyse the movement demands of a sport and identify the variables that contribute to performance and injury risk

    • Select exercises and design a training session to meet the demands of a sport or lifestyle

    • Conduct testing and based on the test results create a 12 week periodised plan for an individual

  • None - This module is to assist in the completion of the Introduction to Strength and Conditioning and Functional Movement Assessment modules

    If you are completing the full diploma course you will also be expected to reflect on the content of this module throughout your 200 hours of clinical practice and how you have used the skills & communication from today with real life clients
